Abstract

A cross-sectional study evaluating the analytical quality of blood biochemistry tests in three laboratories in the city of Yaoundé. A total of 240 samples were analyzed over three months for blood glucose, creatinine, and transaminase levels. Intra-assay reproducibility ranged from 2.4% to 7.8%, depending on the analyte. Accuracy was satisfactory in 71.3% of the assay runs, and turnaround times exceeded 24 hours in 18.2% of cases. While analytical quality is generally acceptable, it is inconsistent, which justifies strengthening internal quality control and continuing professional training.
